In this second city fashion Mecca, CFF has truly opened my eyes into the boundless opportunities that fashion can and will take you.

After speaking with Abby Dunn, Public Relations Director for Active Endeavors, on ways to gain added knowledge within the fashion and public relations industry, she referred me to the Chicago Fashion Foundation. Once I visited the website and saw the vast opportunity of networking and the possibilities of being exposed to the posh world Chicago has to offer, I have yet to look back on joining.

As a college student from Chicago, now attending my junior year at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Being a part of the Chicago Fashion Foundation for a year now has been a wonderful experience! Many organizations fail to deliver in truly assisting their members in the choices of their career, but CFF does it through events and networking.

When I attended my first meeting of my sophomore year, it was held at the Chicago Cultural Center. I must admit I felt awkward being one of the youngest attendees there, but it turned out to be a worthwhile event. Through that first meeting, I had made contacts quickly.

Although it has been quite challenging to attend all the meetings by being an out of state member, the meetings I had attended have fostered my eagerness and passion in pursuing a career in both pr and fashion.

All the events that CFF have organized are all an instrumental gateway in formulizing a plan for a career and of course, racking up on trendy style wear.

I have accepted CFF as not only an eminent tool to help initiate my career but, a life-long organization that I would like to become heavily involved in, and continue the stride that CFF wishes to convey: enriching the minds of their members and helping those understand fashion and Chicago's advocacy in making Chicago a second fashion city.
